A Whole Lot of Worldizing…

This is quite an oblique ad shot in Iceland & I’m not convinced that it isn’t entirely misguided! “The objective of the brand is inviting people to believe in experience superior sound….” Shouldn’t it be called Musicville? Lets face it, that place is already filled with high resolution sound – much higher resolution than Sony or anyone else can provide…

    Frightening.

I can’t stand music in supermakets/subways (i avoid getting in those places without a Merzbowish sound in my ears), i’ll be sick within a few hours.
Furthermore, i imagine that the sound of Iceland’s nature are wonderfull…

Hmm…I could imagine enjoying that kind of music playback in some specific part of a village or city. For example, I play football (or soccer) every Monday and it would be nice to have music playing outside as we play. However, having it played everywhere I went at every moment would be more like a torture!

    Let me dream :
    - i’m cutting sound for a film shot in a village over there
    - the very nice playback-room operator of soundville has earaque because he’s working too much.
    - he’s happy to go on holidays wihle i control the best worldizing lab ever.

ps: poor citizen of soundville, let’s hope it’s not a horror film
