> When did you first get excited about music?

After hearing My Life In the Bush of Ghosts

> What advice would you give young musicians?

Persevere, work hard, create your own path & follow it, never stop learning

> When did you first get excited about sound?

The first time I played in my Dads empty grain silos - thunderous reverb!

> What advice would you give young sound designers?

keep your ears & mind open, never stop learning, respect those with more experience but learn to trust your own ears & sensibility & develop trust in your instincts, listen before speaking, collect sounds as often as possible & build your own unique library, never stop learning, educate yourself with film from as many cultures as possible, keep your ego in check, never stop learning....

Hey ! And your answer ? :)

Well, to answer for me :
When did you first get excited about music? When I heard for the first time Fear of the Dark from Iron Maiden. Wow. I forget everything else, the CD was on repeat. It was live, it has energy, I love it. Took me nearly 12 years to dare touch a guitar, thinking about electronic music and so on, but well. I love it.
What advice would you give young musicians? Love what you do, and it shouldn't feel like work.
