As a freelance instrumentalist, composer, and educator. I love this. Especially point number 3. The teaching part is integral and not just for those can’t make it in the other areas.

Make your own inspiration? I think its a nice way of saying look inside yourself/reference your own ideas for inspiration, rather than other peoples… no?

I’ve found that when I’m working on a problem, suddenly I find inspiration in the strangest places and usually where I would never expect it.
I think it means look at the whole world with fresh eyes.
