Sonic Wire Sculptor

The very first time I visited Japan back in August 2004 my basic research led me to the ICC Gallery in Tokyo where I got to play with an early version of Amit Pitarus Sonic Wire Sculptor software, which was installed with a video projector, very good sound system and a screen that you could draw on… Heres a video my friend shot at the time, the basic premise is that the timeline revolves around in 3 dimensions, and any dot or line you draw plays sine waves, where height depicts frequency…

At the time it, along with many other projects that made up the REACTIVITY group exhibition, seemed incredibly ground breaking: imagine walking into a gallery and as you go to enter one of the darkened rooms you are handed a wireless mouse… meet Remixhibition by Exonemo

Anyway, the original Sonic Wire Sculptor has recently been ported to iPhone and will be available in the app store as soon as its approved… follow Pitaru on twitter for notification of availability, in the meantime heres a demo of it in use (bring on the iPad, I’m more likely to own it than an iPhone any time soon)
