Its funny, when I started collecting sound advice I naively thought it would only last a few dozen – like there is only so much wisdom in the world!? But like with a lot of things, the deeper you go, the deeper it gets…. Another hundred doesn’t seem impossible…. And it constantly astounds me how a few, very eloquent words can put voice to a feeling or instinct in a way that clarifies & focuses ones intent… So much from so little! God bless the wise people who have come before us & who chose to share their wisdom!
And just to prove I wasn’t kidding, #101 is maybe the best yet…
One hundred sound advices… Most of which struck something inside, and urge me to work. Thanks !

I can’t agree more… The last (other than yours) I’ve stumbled on is “Inspiration is for amateurs, the rest of us just show up and get to work” by Chuck Close (found on the website of a book about painter studio, http://www.insidethepaintersstudio.com/Inside_the_Painters_Studio/Home.html).
I’m reading Writting on art by Matisse and it’s too full of insightfull remarks like these, motivation is everywhere !
