Thames

▶ first time visit to this location, knew it would be low tide and wasn’t 100% sure how that would affect what I wanted to shoot… Donned my gumboots & walked out amongst it, and maybe shot some great long exposures… a little nervy as every step had variable squishyness… a few times got stuck and had to be VERY careful getting free as the mud creates a vacuum and did not fancy doing a face plant with my XPAN around my neck… Finished shooting here and noticed a weird structure out in the firth of Thames, and also noticed a rocky breakwater leading out to it…

▶ shot this with all three XPAN lenses – 30, 45 and 90mm… will be interesting to see what works best… It was quite weird to be way out in the sea, but still in the muddy shallows… Here is a wide shot from the shore, for perspective…

As with the Taupo tree, this is another location I will revisit…
in different tides, weather, and states of mind..
