well, i’m going to go out of a limb here and say “meh” about the sound design – or maybe lack thereof. the film has such an “otherworldly” look and story to it, i wish it were reflected in the sound. there are so many details in the action and BG that aren’t highlighted or brought to attention IMO.
I know exactly what you’re saying – after I watched it I changed the role credited in the post to music as I don’t hear much of any sound work & after checking his myspace page, it would appear he is a musician. I totally respect the directors intent & can understand he maybe didn’t want something overt like a Tranformers 2 soundtrack but it totally feels like a missed opportunity….
