I think this video could have been titled: ‘OCD & the law of diminishing returns’ but what’s really the biggest anomaly is that none of the rooms these guys have their super-fantastic stereo system set up in appear to have had any acoustic treatment! Hmmmmm…..

The guy who has brings the power from outside the house and says electricity is 50% of the sound has curtains and some sort of foam bricks for acoustic treatment.
I think there’s some self-delusion involved in this sort of extreme audiophilism, though I’m sure these systems all sound really fucking good.
Bless ‘em. It’s a little bit like the “science section” of shampoo ads. Crystals for luck! I really did like the early bit about “clean electricity” though.

..am I just cynical because I spend too much time listening to sound critically and no longer being “transported”? Perhaps I’m jealous of that, these guys are still in love.
