Thanks so much for the Stanley Kubrick link – I loved listening to him talk about his work, what he does – Even though he started watching films at MOMA, (which makes a lot of sense of his visual style) I found it hilarious how pragmatic entrepreneurial NY Jewish he was about becoming a filmmaker – “It costs how much to make a film!! I can make it for a tenth of the price! We’re bound to make a profit!!”. Totally practical. 😀
