A great first day in Japan!
Arrived mid evening to Tokyo but 8pm in Japan = midnight in NZ, so after a long day I was ready for some high quality sleep, but woke at 6am the next day rearing to go!

First stop = Yodobashi to score some film (no Ektachrome, glad I brought some with me!) then around the Yamanote line to Ebisu and Tokyo Photography Museum… visited a couple of exhibitions and of all the work was most impressed by gorgeous monochrome prints by Derek Man, shot with pinhole cameras made out of apples… documenting the decline of orchards in the UK.

Stumbled across some great graffiti on the way back to my Air BnB in Ikebukuro, love the giant Tako…
and the poetic/poignant stencil nearby
