Good gosh, I ache for more Noto-Sakamoto collaborations. I wonder how much more they have in the vaults, but I’m delighted — thanks to your exposure of this — to find out there will be at least one more album. Apparently they recorded this from November to December 2022. I still remember the first one, and it gave me impetus to really get deep into Glitch Piano.
Their first collab was the best imho – I recently relistened through the first few releases and the first, Vrioon, for me it is the beautiful melodic sense of Sakamoto juxtaposed with the tones & glitch rhythms that impacted me profoundly. Later works dont seem to have the melodic sense so clearly…
Maybe it is like how a bands first album is often their best as it contains their entire lifes dream of what an album should be, up to that point. I don’t know… Similarly beautiful angular melodies and aching chords also appear in Sakakmotos score of Tony Takitani.
