The Council has been rebuilding the fences & parking around Plimmerton train station… And one new carpark with a particular size limit caught my eye so I went & shot some photos today…

French Pass
If you live in NZ and have never driven the road out to French Pass, then you should put it on your to do list! As the topomap indicates the road is single lane dirt road across a steep mountain range… And the views are to die for, as in literally – if you went off the side of the road you would not stop until you hit the sea!
These were shot with Canon 5D3 and EF100-400L lens…
I just got 8 rolls of film back from the lab so will share some neg scans soon…

Local Marinas
Did some recording at my local Plimmerton Boat Club, with strong NW wind the wires in masts etc was quite loud and arrhythmic!
Mana marina is also quite close to my house, but is much more sheltered as is in Porirua Harbour a bit… This ambience was quieter but could hear distant wind in wires from boats out at the entrance, which would catch the wind more…
I’ll revisit both these locations a bunch more times in different conditions…
