A review of THREADS

Imagine walking through a shopping mall, and hearing every thought from every random person. How much of it would hold any interest? Close to zero. That has been my experience with Threads. Even though I imported all my instagram contacts, Threads displays an endless stream of irrelevance. The ten minutes I’ve spent at Threads has involved muting everything that has no interest, and after ten minutes the experience was no better. Just more endless untargeted garbage.

The solution is pretty fckng simple: a users feed should contain the output from people they follow. An unmitigated stream of irrelevance makes the entire experience of using Threads pointless. And one has to wonder why? Did this new platform come pre-enshittified? It sure seems so.

Maybe I am a rarity but I don’t spend much time gawking at my phone at all. I don’t commute anywhere, so I don’t have downtime to burn. With Twitter 99% of my use is via a desktop web browser. But Threads is so ‘special’ you cannot even access it via anything except your phone.

It’s difficult to fully comprehend what an absolute fail Threads is, in every way possible.
