What a strange design!

This is a NOS Leslie Tremelo unit – basically it has a speaker which projects into a circular polystyrene form, which spins, throwing the sound out the rotating vent!

It has two motors, for dual speed…. I suspect I will replace one of the motors with a modern motor that I can continuously control speed via a manual knob or CV….

In a way its related to the spinning disk under each note on my Trixon vibraphone – physically changing the sound…

For a moment I thought – ahar!! they have created speed control!
But no, its just switching between the two motors/speeds…

such a weird demo – how could someone only use one mic on it!?
& why bass guitar through a small speaker!?
Surely distorted synth would be better!!
