Gleetchplug is a fantastic platform for making experimental music, or should I say experimenting with music and sound. Version 3 has just been released and has a new feature: you can now save & load your settings! This is a feature you would take for granted in all the other software you use, but previous versions of Gleetchplug deliberately had no ability to save, except to record the output as audio. In the past this approach both inspired & frustrated me, so it’ll be interesting to see how it affects the use of Gleetchplug. Check out the (fully working) demo here but be patient, you will have to invest a little bit of time getting to grips with the interface eg it uses a matrix for connecting modules much like the Synthi matrix.
