Visited Helter Skelter today & noticed this old table out the back, which appeared to have a ground glass top.
On closer inspection also noticed it had a power connector and lifting the glass, three bulbs were visible…
Quick haggle with the owner over it and a few other things (plastic insects, a 1968 book on Frank Lloyd Wrights Imperial Hotel in Tokyo) and I took it home to see if it worked…
wow! All three bulbs fired but very yellow in tone…
I lifted the glass & put one of my LED lights inside it
Fun to shoot objects sitting on it
Also useful for checking negs with a loupe…
