The street will find a way

Whenever I’m travelling my usually easy-to-use iPhone suddenly starts being annoying. Its Thursday, so there’s a new Benji B mix.. and a Martha mix… and in a few days a couple of Giles Petersen mixes. Then its Tuesday again & Stinky Jims mix is available….

But absolutely NONE of these shows can I transfer to my iPhone Music app as mp3s, because its ONLY allowed to be synced to one Mac, and that ‘one Mac’ is my studio Mac…

What to do?

Well maybe Apple could LEARN SOMETHING from this.
NO is not a viable answer.
If you say no to an obviously easy problem, the street will find a way.

Solution:

STOP using Apple Music app to play music on your iPhone.
START using VLC!

They make it so easy, it’s embarrassing…

Inevitably, my iPhone is connected to the same wifi my laptop is using, ie whichever Air BnB I am currently staying at…
But in this scenario, Apple still say no.

And in this scenario, VLC say:
Open your web browser to an IP address provided in app.
192.168.1.X
Drag & drop. Easy. Near-instant.

Thank you VLC!

Thanks for nothing Apple.
Here endeth my use of Apple music apps.
