▶ Laurie Anderson – Closed Circuits
“perhaps the most exquisite of Anderson’s early works–from an album released by John Giorno 1981“
wow this album has been a buzz to listen to!
I first became aware of Laurie Anderson as a kid when my sister brought a 45 of Oh Superman home from high school – mid 1980s. So by then she’d found enough success to reach kids in rural Canterbury NZ! But being a fan from them on I have only really heard her ‘produced’ releases & live works. This album feels more immediate & raw, sparse, dry & almost unproduced… and all the stronger for it!
